After last week's blog post on what to do before gown shopping, we felt that we had to elaborate on one very important item - Your Bridal Entourage. Who is your Bridal Entourage? They are your closest friends & family members that you bring with you when shopping for your dream dress. Now when we say Entourage, we don't mean a group of 15 of your 'closest' friends. We want your dress shopping experience to be one of the most memorable parts of planning your wedding! Follow our Do's & Don'ts below to have the best time of your life with the right people!
Bring your mom, sister, cousin or any other female who are like family to you! You'll want someone there who knows you best and will give her honest opinions but deliver them in ways that won't send you home in tears.
Bring your BFF! Duh! This is a moment that you both have been dreaming about since you watched episode after episode of Say Yes To The Dress.
Stick to 1-3 close family members or friends. While most of our shops can accommodate a larger group, we have found that the magic number of people in your Bridal Entourage is no more than 5.
- Feel obligated to invite anyone! You should be inviting your closest friends and family shopping because you want them there, not because you feel obligated to!
- Be afraid to shop by yourself! We have brides come in all the time without an entourage to have a calm, relaxed fitting while making her own opinions. We highly recommend this if you're feeling the stress from your bridal entourage!
- Forget that you're not the only bride shopping in the boutique! While a loud & fun group is exciting and brings life to your experience, we always want to respect our other brides too! She might be looking for a calm and intimate shopping experience and we want to make everyone feel like they're the only bride in the room!
