Hungry for Travel
Prepping for your honeymoon is the perfect opportunity to let your stomach do the thinking. What better way to relax after your wedding and indulge in the start of your married life than with happy heart AND a happy tummy! These fresh honeymoon ideas are sure to satisfy you and your sweetie's inner foodie.
A wise person once said, “the best way to get to know a city is to eat it,” and we couldn’t agree more! Your honeymoon is your first adventure as newlyweds. What better way to truly experience your travels and make memories than through trying something on the menu that you can’t even pronounce! Sounds like the recipe for a good time to us!
Food Festivals and Markets
Last weekend was the annual Arizona Taco Festival and it was one of the best times of the year! Because tacos, duh. We love the idea of planning and traveling while food festivals are in town because then all of the local favorites are in one convenient place! And anyone who doesn’t want to spend their whole day eating is just, well, lying.
Food festivals and local markets are perfect ways to sample your honeymoon destination and are often cost effective options, too! One thing is for certain, food is one of the best ways of representing local culture no matter the destination!
Eat, Drink, & Be MARRIED
We all know the “craft drink” industry is booming and I’ll be honest, there is always a novel on the side of my Starbucks cup because I am that particular about my coffee.
Venti, breve, micro-brew, IPA - it’s a whole other language these specialty drinks. With never-ending options, it’s so fun to travel, explore, eat, and enjoy with your "partner in dine!" (get it? "Partner in crime." I felt a food pun was appropriate here. LOL.)
Speaking of Starbucks, we love the idea of soaring off to Seattle, Washington to visit the OG in coffee.
We even found honeymoon inspiration within our Brilliant Bridal family! One of our East Valley stylists, Kendra, is marrying the love of her life THIS WEEKEND in Sedona, Arizona. Her and her hubby-to-be share a love of craft beer and the local brewery scene. (How cute are they?!)
The bride and groom love trying new breweries wherever they travel to sample the true flavors of the town they are in. Kendra added that each brewery has a unique beer all their own, and she loves adding new favorites to her list. Not to mention it’s a great way to kick back, relax, and even chat with some locals. Cheers to that!
**Congrats to all of Our Brilliant Brides who are also tying the knot this October! And a special congrats to our Social Media Guru, Kelsey, who tied the knot with her beau this month!**
Are You Hungry, Yet? I am!
As I mentioned in our previous honeymoon blog, experiences mean so much more than material goods. After all, food is viewed as the heart, soul, and culture of any destination.
Whatever honeymoon location gets your mouth watering, there is nothing better than sharing the experiences with the one you love (and of course, Instagram). Remember, honeymoon calories don’t count. ;)
P.S. Enjoy this throwback of yours truly at one of the best Chinese restaurants in London enjoying a traditional Dim Sum meal! Happy Anna.
