It's not often you get the opportunity to wear your wedding dress more than once, but today on the blog, we have an anniversary shoot where they decided to dress back up for the occasion! Our Brilliant Bride Hannah and her groom Eli partnered with Emily from Emily Janssen Photography to commemorate their first year of wedded bliss at Papago Park.
Hannah isn't just one of our brides, but she is also one of our assistant managers at our East Valley location. Thinking back on her special day, Hannah says, "my favorite part of our wedding was probably our first look. Even though, I cried like a fool and Eli laughed at me." (We're sure Eli wiped her tears away too and didn't just laugh!) You may be more of a traditional bride, but first looks are an awesome way to start the day focused around celebrating your love for one another.
These two sweethearts tied the knot during an outdoor ceremony on their college campus. Hannah wore a beautiful, lace and tulle Pronovias gown that she said yes to at our Denver location. This gown has such a fun, vintage vibe with soft, scalloped lace trailing around the top of the neckline and the bottom of the skirt. For her wedding day, Hannah wore a long dreamy veil, but for her anniversary shoot, she accented the floral appliqué with a romantic, gold and crystal, hair vine!
Now that Hannah has left all of the wedding planning, stress behind her, we thought it would be neat to see what advice she had for soon-to-be brides. She said, "I'd recommend meeting your photographer at your venue, especially if they've never been there before. I'd also recommend chilling out and letting others take care of you on the day of. Your friends and family want to help so let them." This advice is so important because it will ensure that you spend more time taking photos and less time trying to find a good background. And of course, it can feel a little humbling to let others pamper you, but it will take so much stress off of you and bring your loved ones so much joy!
Our official congrats to the happy couple on their first year of marriage down. We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness to come! Also, thank you to Emily Janssen Photography for capturing these two so beautifully!
