As consultants, we see that every bride has some concerns about wedding dress shopping, so we want to let you know its normal, and any fear can be conquered. From dress sizing to other’s opinions, we will show you how to overcome your wedding dress fears. 

Will They Have a Dress That Looks Good on Me? 

We will absolutely have a dress that looks stunning on you! I’ll even tell you we will have many dresses that will make you pause a little longer. Wedding gowns are so different from any other clothing you wear, it’s not like normal street wear that you buy at Target. These are garments made to accentuate any body type, and even further, they’re meant to show off who the bride is. 

Can I Find a Dress Within My Budget?

Our Last Chance section has dresses that start at $95 and goes to $350, as well as sales and markdowns. At Brilliant Bridal, our consultants do not work on commission. We, as your bridal stylist, are committed to helping you find your dream dress, no matter the price point. Brilliant Bridal is there for our brides! 

What if So-and-So Doesn’t Like It? 

We tell our brides that your wedding gown is the most self expressive garment you will ever wear. Your dress will reflect who you are, and on your wedding day you are surrounded by those who love you. They’re going to love you dress because it will reflect who you are! It may not be what some envisioned, maybe it's not what even your originally thought, but when anyone sees the way you glow in your wedding gown, everyone will fall in love with it. 

How Will I Know? 

A lot of brides become plagued with indecisiveness and worry about committing to a dress, especially if you were lucky enough to find it quickly. Some tell-tail signs that a bride loves a dress are things like:

• Petting the gown, even dancing a little

• Thinking about how your fiancé is going to react

• Talking about how you could do your hair and accessorize

• Your group saying that this dress is “so you”

• Don’t want to take it off

These are just a couple of the signals that help us see that you are falling in love with a dress.

Some situations cause brides to feel like they can’t say yes yet, but we have solutions to any circumstance. If there is someone you wanted to share the moment with who isn’t at the appointment, we have reveal parties! What If It’s Totally Opposite of What I Pictured? 

I’ll admit, I was definitely guilty of this one. I thought I was a traditional  A-Line and lace kind of gal, but I couldn’t believe how much I loved a fully beaded, curve emphasizing sheath, with no train. Loving something almost opposite of what I first pictured scared me. It was my mom that reminded me that it’s okay to say yes to something unexpected, especially when I loved it so much. As consultants, we see this happen a lot more than you’d think. We will reassure you that it’s normal. Like I said before, wedding gowns are so different from what we normally wear so it’s a little bit harder to anticipate what we will look like in them and end up falling in love with.
