In 2022, the wedding industry is expecting to see over 2.4 MILLION weddings. Venues, florists, and even bridal shops are bursting at the seams to accommodate every wedding possible. But what does this mean for your upcoming nuptials?

1. Dresses

Finding your dress is such a special moment, but it can be a surprise to hear that ordering times have gone from the normal 6-9 months to 9-12 months. Some stores have back-stock ready or can get dresses in a shorter time; however, it’s a tough thing to guarantee right now. But have no fear, Brilliant Bridal is here for you all! Our dresses are available for you to take home the very same day you find them. Each of our stores even have a list of multiple seamstresses so you can have access to someone who can work on your timeline.

2. Venues

There are so many venues around, but they are getting booked fast. The earlier you can find the one, the better. This way you can secure your date and continue with wedding planning. Try being flexible with your date, this way you're not blocking yourself from your dream venue. Also, consider getting married on a week day, typically there are more week day dates available and are usually at a lower rate.

3. Inflation

With the demand skyrocketing, so are the prices. Before setting your wedding budget, look at what the current market is being priced at. This way your budget can be a little more realistic and you won't get sticker shock halfway through planning.

4. Vendors

Get used to making quick decisions. Just the same as booking a venue, vendors are getting booked up just as quickly. When you find one you like, and within budget, book them. You don’t want to miss out on getting exactly what you want by taking a day to decide.

Weddings are stressful enough as it is. Just relax and start planning. Once you get a venue and set a date, everything will come. Just prepare yourself for things to take a little bit longer and plan a little faster.
